In its report of the 1st quarter published on Monday, the French Regulation Authority of online gambling (ARJEL) indicated that the activity of online poker is declining more and more during these two last years in France. The online poker sites counts less and less fanatics in France according to the news figures of the French Regulatory authority of online games (Arjel).
As a reminder, the sector is assured by 13 approved operators. In the 1st quarter 2014, the number of active players’ accounts fell by an average of 12% each week. The bets of cash-game registered during the three first months of the year dropped by 19 % to €1.201 billion, against 1.476 billion in the 1st quarter of 2013. The buy-ins of the tournaments progressed by 9% at €407 million, against 375 million a year before; but it wasn’t sufficient to contain the decline of the poker deposit bonus 2014.
